Whats up for window decoration in 2019

The latest trends in window decoration overviewed during my travel through the Netherlands.

Fashion never stands still and despite that you still find big differences in Europe. Especially when it comes to window decoration, you see big differences. Just look at products with gloss or a matt appearance. Window coverings with shiny fabrics can be seen much more in the Southeast of Europe while the Northwest prefers a quiet natural environment. We English people love a little more liveliness through color and patterns. That is how it has always been when it comes to window decorations. On the other hand, new inventions enter the market, like this one below.

The horizontal panels can be hung in front of the window at any height. So you divide your window into planes and you can play with these panels.

The Dutch are one of the most ahead in window decorations

Perhaps it is because of the fast internet and infrastructure structure of the Netherlands that people are far ahead of the rest of the world. The Netherlands has many international breakthrough designers such as Piet Hein Eek and Jan des Bouvris. They have awakened the consumer and living is now very important and they are doing a lot of things to decorate the house nicely. This is no different for window decoration.

The colours of 2019

Last year it was already visible but this year we are going to see more color in the Dutch. Think of fresh aqua colors, warm ocher and warm pink. A combination of these three colors is of course also possible to give the interior a warm or fresh look. The colors will be bought more in furniture, walls and decorations and to a lesser extent in window coverings, that’s the expectation. If you hang your color in front of the window, the light will take it with you and the color tone will change in the house. Of course you have to be aware of that.

Security cameras protect your home when you are traveling

Keep burglars out of the door during absence

Does camera security make sense to keep criminals out? That question is central to this article. With the Christmas coming and the shortening of the day’s length, uninvited guests have more time to get their money off. A well-lit house is therefore essential to keep out the occasional thief. Because of course he does not want to be seen that increases the chance of being caught. If you now combine that good outdoor lighting with camera security, you create a win-win situation. If you see the camera, this scares extra.

What is a good security camera system?

To find out, it is important that your personal wishes and the situation on the spot where the security cameras come to hang. What distance does the camera have to cover and how clear the image should be. If you want to be able to recognize someone properly, you need at least a 2 megapixel camera. You also need to know if there is always a lighting fire so that you can use cameras without infra red. These include Startlight cameras, a very light-sensitive security camera that can record in color with a little bit of light.

Wifi or Cable

More and more consumers are buying Wifi cameras. Yet criminals like to see this. They can, in fact, easily paralyze a Wi-Fi network. The result is that the camera sees everything, but it can not reach the recorder. No images are then recorded. That is why it is recommended to connect the system via an ehternet network. This is much less susceptible to interference and that improves image quality and stability. Criminals can thus disturb the signal from the camera much more easily without being seen.

Zebra roller blinds remain the trend of 2018

About the zebra roller blind

The zebra roller blind is a very functional window covering that can completely take over the function of lace curtains and curtains. If your room is not large, this will give you a lot of space and your room will soon be up to 30 cm bigger. What does this product actually look like and what can you do with it, for example when you go on holiday and want to leave your home safe.

How it works

Zebra roller blinds consist of two layers of fabric. The fabric contains horizontal strips that are alternately transparent and opaque. By moving these strips in front of each other you can, as it were, open and close the curtain. In the open position you can look out through the lanes and the light can enter freely. In contrast to an ordinary roller blind, a zebra roller blind if it is hanging halfway in front of the window can always allow much more light than an ordinary roller blind. But you can also slide the closed strips for the transparent so that the entire curtain is opaque. This is ideal as sun protection, against outside view or just to be able to optimally control the light incident. The upper side is finished with a luxurious cassette while at the bottom of the two layers of fabric hanging in a loop there is an aggravating rolling tube. You can adjust this by color and model so that you can adjust a zebra roller blind completely to your interior.

Operate when you’re on the go

If you travel a lot and you still want to operate the curtain remotely, it is also possible to equip your zebra roller blind with electric control in combination with a smart box. You can then install an app on your phone so that you can make the roller blind timer and also operate anywhere in the world with your smartphone. That is very comfortable, especially if you are traveling a lot.

How Roller Blinds dress a home

Roller blinds are multifunctional

When you think of a roller blind, you think of a cheap window decoration that hangs in almost every house. Yet you can use different types of roller blinds very well to decorate your home in a cozy way. There are many more luxurious fabrics available than before and the weaving machines can make luxurious fabrics at larger widths. In the past, roller blinds were only in small windows. That does not matter that much for the United Kingdom and the German market, but in the Netherlands, for example, there are many large windows. For this, broad fabrics are essential for the production of a roller blind without welding seam.

Types of Roller Blinds

There are at least three types of roller blinds. You can classify them in Transparent, semi transparent or blackout.

Transparent is often not only transparent but also transparent as glass curtains. You choose transparent roller blinds to create an atmospheric light incidence or to prevent outside view from looking in during the day.

Semi transparent like prcture above is no longer transparent but always leaves some light through. The fabric is usually the same on two sides and real dark colors sometimes approach a blackout roller blind.

Blackout no longer leaves light and the back of the fabric has a coating. Often this is white because you can also keep the heat outside.

Zebra Blinds

Zebra roller blinds have become very popular in Europe. This because of the functional properties. You can open and close them at any desired height. In this way you keep the sun out of the sun, curious glances of passers against and you can let in extra light. So you actually have a drape and glass curtain in one. That saves Pounds or Euros but also a lot of space next to the window.
